Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation

Friday's talks resulted in a number of significant pacts across military and economic cooperation. A major outcome was the finalization of an economic cooperation programme that runs to 2030, which targets to increase twofold commerce to $100bn annually by the end of the decade.

Furthermore pledged to recalibrate their strategic cooperation. Although Russia is still India's primary source of arms, this role has diminished lately as India aims to broaden its sources.

The official release emphasized an agreement on the joint production of advanced weapons platforms, although specific details of purchases such as the fifth-generation aircraft were omitted.

Overall, Moscow and Delhi reiterated that during the “current complex, difficult, and unpredictable international environment, Russian-Indian ties stay strong to external pressure.”
