Larry Summers Leaves from AI Company's Directors

Summers remarked in a statement that he was "grateful for the privilege to have served, optimistic about the promise of the company, and look forward tracking their development".
The prominent academic, who formerly headed the prestigious university, declared on earlier this week that he would be scaling back from public responsibilities due to his connections with the convicted sex offender.
Digital Correspondence
The recently released emails demonstrated that the official communicated with Jeffrey Epstein until the 24 hours preceding Epstein's 2019 detention for alleged sex trafficking of underage individuals.
In a separate statement, the AI firm expressed it understood his choice to resign.
"We value his significant contributions and the viewpoint he brought to the governing body," the organization commented.

This news follows after the two houses of Congress agreed on this week to endorse a measure that would require the US justice department to make public its documents on the case.
The bill will then move to the administration of US President Donald Trump for endorsement. Trump has stated he expects to sign the bill, after changing his stance on the subject following pushback from his base.

Summers entered the directorate of the AI company, which makes the AI chatbot, in 2023 - following a defeated move to remove its CEO Sam Altman.
