British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Hospital in Lagos Following Tragic Road Accident

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, officials in Lagos announced on Wednesday night. The 36-year-old was part of a serious road collision outside Lagos on December 29th, a devastating event that resulted in the deaths of two of his valued colleagues.

Healing from Light Wounds

The boxer had been receiving medical attention while recovering from minor injuries, his management team had said on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on X that Joshua was declared medically stable to continue his recovery at home.

“Anthony and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two departed friends as they were being readied to be sent home,” Omotosho said.

Honoring the Deceased

The two men who died were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. The official further stated that the athlete was heartbroken and overcome with emotion over the tragic loss of his two close friends.”
