The tenth week once more provided excitement, with a huge upset for the Bills proving the 'any given Sunday' mantra that draws so many fans into the NFL
That result could have created opportunities for the New England Patriots to creep back into a top spot they formerly held, with a schedule that gives them an advantage over their eight and two rivals
Over in the NFC the Seahawks and Rams had ideal outcomes to set up a monster clash in week 11, while our top performer is pursuing milestones as well as the Most Valuable Player award
Analysis - Just a Bad Day for the Bills?
Could it simply have been an emotional letdown from defeating Kansas City last week or a deeper issue? This remains the question for the Buffalo team to answer
The Buffalo squad had secured seven victories in a consecutive games against Miami but were outperformed from the beginning as the Dolphins emerged as 30-13 victors in an surprising outcome - and performance
MVP quarterback Josh Allen only got the squad's initial first down in the third period and first points in the fourth - yes the Dolphins had 10 days to prepare but it was nonetheless a massive egg laid by one of the NFL's best offenses
Tua Tagovailoa passed for two scores but running back Achane was the game-changing factor, with 225 combined yards and two touchdowns
Containing the league's best rushing attack was crucial too, with Cook and teammates recording just eighty-six yards, their fewest of the season and slightly more than fifty percent their 161.5-yard season average
Additionally there were the three crucial turnovers, and the pair from Josh Allen in particular. An interception in the end zone resulting in a nine-minute drive yielded no points, and his fourth-quarter dropped ball that Miami converted to a touchdown just two plays
It was classic 'previous Bills teams' as they shot themselves in the foot, falling into a hole on defensive side and Allen trying to overcompensate to dig his team out of it - not the calm, disciplined, balanced Bills we've witnessed this season
Miami have demonstrated a varied performances this year so the jury's out on whether this is the beginning of something, but for Buffalo they'll require an instant response in a difficult matchup against the Buccaneers in week 11 as the Patriots are quietly moving into a nice lead at the summit of the AFC East
Spotlight - New England See Path to Unexpected First Place
Regarding the Patriots, they're one of three different eight and two squads in the league, all AFC sides, but could they be the best?
One could find flaws in New England, the Broncos and Indianapolis actually for dominating the weaker opponents, with just five of their total twenty-four wins achieved against opponents with a positive record - and one example was the Indianapolis beating the Denver
Denver defeated the reigning champion Eagles in Philadelphia and are kings of the final quarter while Indianapolis can rely on Jonathan Taylor, but the Patriots including Sunday's victory in Tampa to their primtime success in Orchard Park seems like a declaration
Their two defeats came in new head coach Vrabel's initial three games, with seven consecutive wins, similar to Denver, from that point - but defeating Mayfield after the Buccaneers had a bye to prepare was huge
Drake Maye's MVP claims won't go away, and he definitely deserves point for bravery after taking some hard tackles in Tampa but hanging in there to steer his side to victory
The defensive unit is solid and rookie rusher Henderson exploded on game day with 147 rushing yards and two exhilerating touchdowns of 55 and 69 yards - becoming just the fifth ball carrier to exceed 22 miles per hour this season on his first score
While you can argue who 'the top team' is statistically, the Patriots should be favourites to end with the top record due to their schedule - which features just one game against a successful opponent, albeit a significant contest against the Bills
Traveling to Baltimore is also tough, but the Broncos have it more difficult in the AFC West division with the Kansas City to face two times, the Los Angeles Chargers (who might also challenge for top seed but face the same problem) and additionally the Packers on the schedule
The Colts also face the Chiefs, and have the Seahawks, 49ers and two matchups with the five and four Jacksonville to contend with. There is a considerable distance to go but the opportunity is open for a surprise number one position in the American Football Conference
Next Week - Los Angeles and Seattle Set for Week 11 Clash
Both squads with strong arguments to be superior to all of the three eight and two teams are NFC West opponents the Seahawks and Los Angeles, who each scored 40 burgers to go to seven and two before next week's Hollywood blockbuster game between the pair in LA
Both have secured four victories in a consecutive games, have signal callers in Stafford and Sam Darnold playing at an elite level (although Darnold had turnover issues on Sunday) with excellent pass catchers, and defensive units allowing fewer than twenty points a game
Both could easily be without a loss as too - particularly the Rams as their pair of losses occurred in extra time against the San Francisco and then that painful defeat in Philly when they had a game-winning kick with the last kick blocked and returned by the Eagles for a score
The Seahawks also lost to San Francisco, with a last-minute score in the opening week, before losing to the last kick of the game against the Tampa Bay - so they are truly among the top teams in the NFL
The next matchup on Sunday could be the most exciting of the season so far
Player of the Week - Taylor
Taylor could be on for a record season after his remarkable performance in Germany - running for 244 rushing yards, scoring three touchdowns and adding another 42 {receiving yards
