AC Shadows Introduces Surprising Attack on Titan Event for Holiday Season
In a bizarre crossover event that defies conventional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Disclosed
According to the formal announcement, "A mysterious confrontation draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where rumors of prohibited ceremonies and fearsome changes echo through the obscurity." The plot introduces a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a hidden cult.
The mission concentrates on "strange tests and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Metamorphoses
The preview features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser finishes with a powerful scene showing a character, presumably the captive, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Items and Additional Material
Players who successfully complete the mission will acquire an special katana together with several objects hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

- Mikasa attire for Naoe
- Exclusive arms
- Survey Corps vehicle
Third Free Story Update
This release also introduces the game's newest free story addition, titled "The Enigma." This lighthearted quest teams Naoe and Yasuke as they trade characteristic abilities: Naoe introduces a theatrical interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters subduing stealth takedowns. Faithful to its name, "The Mystery" also features a original environmental puzzle that may ultimately explain some lingering questions from the main storyline.
